Container Name Service (CNS) is the first Triton feature I’ve had the opportunity to see through to completion since my start at Joyent in January 2015.
CNS is intended to provide an ingress solution for applications running on Triton. It automatically directs requests for a given DNS name to instances on Triton that are tagged to serve traffic for that DNS name.
I introduced the service yesterday in a blog post. That’s the first draft of our docs for the service, so expect that to redirect to our docs site as the service becomes GA.
